Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and as always, Nepali buyers are asking the same question: how much will it actually cost here? Here's what we know about the phone itself, plus what to realistically expect on price once it reaches Nepal through authorized resellers.
iPhone 18 Pro Price in Nepal — What to Expect
Apple doesn't sell directly in Nepal, so there's no official Nepal price yet — anyone quoting an exact NPR figure right now is guessing. Based on how past iPhone Pro models have historically priced out here (accounting for import duty, VAT, and reseller margin over the US price), the base 256GB iPhone 18 Pro is likely to land somewhere in the higher end compared to its $1,199 US starting price once it arrives through official Nepali resellers — typically 40–60% above a straight currency conversion. We'll update this article with confirmed pricing the moment authorized dealers in Nepal announce it.
What's New on iPhone 18 Pro
Camera: The headline feature is a variable aperture on the 48MP Main camera — a first for iPhone. Six blades physically adjust the opening, automatically balancing light and depth of field, from ƒ/1.4 for low light down to ƒ/4 for keeping more of a group shot in focus. A new feature called Apple Reference Image can also verify whether a photo has been edited, aimed at photographers and journalists who need to prove a shot is unaltered.
Chip and performance: Both models run on the new A20 Pro, built on a 2-nanometer process with a 6-core CPU and 7-core GPU, paired with a redesigned vapor chamber that Apple says delivers up to 40% better sustained performance than the previous generation — useful for gaming or heavy multitasking without the phone slowing down as it heats up.
Battery: This is the biggest jump — up to 36 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro and up to 45 hours on the Pro Max, largely thanks to eSIM-only models freeing up internal space for a bigger battery.
Software: Both ship with iOS 27, including Apple's newer Siri AI assistant and a redesigned Dynamic Island that can now show three Live Activities at once.
Colors and Storage
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max come in black, silver, glacier, and a new burgundy finish, with storage options from 256GB up to 2TB.
