Redmi, a sub-brand of Chinese company Xiaomi, will soon release a smartphone with 64 megapixel resolution camera in the market. This information was made public by Redmi through the Chinese social network Weibo. The Redmi smartphone will be the most megapixel camera ever seen in the smartphone world. For now, the smartphone with the largest megapixel camera has a 48 megapixel camera.

Redmi's most popular budget smartphones - Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro also have the same 48-megapixel resolution camera.

According to a Chinese social network post, no smartphone camera is available in the market to hit the resolution of 64 megapixels.

The 64-megapixel camera will be able to capture images up to 20 megabytes in size. The 48-megapixel camera on the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro captures images up to 16 megabytes in size.

The 48-megapixel camera on the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro reduces the 48-megapixel picture to 12 megapixels with pixel binning technology. Similarly, the 64-megapixel camera that is said to be new will also have the possibility of using quad bayer sensor and pixel binning technology. With the use of this technology, the Redmi smartphone with a new 64 megapixel camera will also be able to capture only 16 megapixel sized pictures.

Since the camera capture image of the Redmi Note series and the size of the new 64 megapixel camera do not differ significantly, it can be estimated that pixel binning technology will certainly be used in the newly arrived sensor.
